Nassau County Council on Aging to Host “The Giving Wrap” Holiday Fundraiser

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — The Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) will kick off the holiday season with a new fundraising event, The Giving Wrap, offering gift wrapping services in exchange for donations that support local seniors.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 16, 17 and 18 at the Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, located at 1901 Island Walk Way in Fernandina Beach.

Community members are invited to bring in their unwrapped holiday gifts, and NCCOA volunteers will handle the wrapping while guests wait. A variety of wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, boxes and tags will be available. Donations of any amount are appreciated, with all proceeds going directly to NCCOA programs that help Nassau County seniors live independently and with dignity.

“The holidays can be stressful, and we wanted to offer a simple way for people to check one thing off their list while also supporting our mission,” said Janice Ancrum, President & CEO at NCCOA. “Every dollar raised through The Giving Wrap will help older adults right here in our community.”

Funds raised will benefit NCCOA’s wide range of services, including Meals on Wheels deliveries, Adult Day HealthCare, Advocate Home Health Care, wellness and lifelong learning classes, and caregiver support.
