FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. (October 2025) — The Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) is encouraging community members to honor loved ones and support local seniors this holiday season through its Legacy Pavers Program, a special fundraising initiative designed to create lasting tributes that benefit older adults across Nassau County.

The Legacy Pavers, which will be installed at the Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, offer a meaningful way to celebrate someone special, commemorate a milestone, or recognize a contribution. Each engraved paver becomes a permanent part of NCCOA’s grounds, a visible testament to the people and stories that make Nassau County strong.

“This time of year is all about reflection, gratitude, and giving,” said Janice Ancrum, CEO of the Nassau County Council on Aging. “Our Legacy Pavers allow families and friends to create a heartfelt tribute honoring someone dear, living or remembered, while helping ensure that vital programs for older adults continue to thrive in our community. It’s truly a gift that gives back.”

Proceeds from the pavers will directly support NCCOA’s mission to enhance the lives of older adults through services and compassionate care designed to improve the health, independence, and economic security of all Nassau County seniors and their families.

“This is the perfect time to give a gift that lasts forever,” added Ancrum. “A Legacy Paver is more than a stone; it’s a story, a symbol, and a way to be a part of something greater.”
