New Program Expands Local Childcare Options and Empowers Entrepreneurs
The Nassau County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Wonderschool and Episcopal Children’s Services (ECS) to launch a new initiative aimed at expanding access to quality early childhood care. This no-cost program helps Nassau County residents start licensed, home-based childcare programs with training, coaching, and ongoing support.
Recent data from the Chamber reveals that 80% of working parents in Nassau County have children under the age of six, highlighting a significant demand for accessible childcare options. The new program will provide working families with reliable, quality childcare while fostering economic development and job creation.
“This partnership addresses a critical need in our community,” said Regina Duncan, President of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce. “By combining our strengths, we are building a solution that not only supports families but also creates jobs and strengthens the overall business environment.”
This joint effort combines the Chamber’s commitment to workforce and economic development, Wonderschool’s nationally acclaimed childcare business coaching and platform, and ECS’s deep experience in early learning support and local family engagement.
“Too many families today are boxed out of opportunity because of the lack of affordable, reliable childcare,” said Jason Moss, head of New Government Initiatives at Wonderschool. “By helping amazing childcare professionals become entrepreneurs, we can help unlock economic opportunity for an entire community. We’re excited to be supporting Nassau County.”
A special webinar for interested residents will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 PM. To register, CLICK HERE or call (904) 261-3248.
