SBA North Florida District Achieves Record-Breaking Lending for FY2025

Over $1 Billion in SBA Loans Guaranteed for Local Small Businesses

JACKSONVILLE, FL — The U.S. Small Business Administration's North Florida District Office, serving 43 counties from Orlando to the Panhandle, announced today that it supported nearly $1.2 billion in small business lending during federal fiscal year 2025 (FY25) - a 21% increase over FY24.  The fiscal year ended Sept. 30.

FY 25 marks the first time in the district's history that traditional lending surpassed $1 billion in a single year.

The district guaranteed 1,919 small business loans through the 7(a), 504 and Microloan programs - an increase of 10% compared to FY24.

“I'm incredibly proud of this record-breaking year for North Florida's small businesses," said Jonel Hein, SBA North Florida District Director.  “Thanks to a strong network of lenders, partners and stakeholders across our district, access to capital continues to expand.  In FY25, lending climbed to nearly $1.2 billion, and more than 170 additional small businesses received financing compared to the previous year.  With the dedication of our North Florida team, our district-wide ‘Bust-A-Billion’ campaign played a key role in this success by prioritizing borrower and lender education and increasing awareness of SBA programs.”
