Nassau County Council on Aging Launches 6th Annual Santas for Seniors Gift Drive
The holiday season is here, a time to gather with loved ones and share the joy of giving. The Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) is pleased to announce its 6th Annual Santas for Seniors gift drive, a community initiative dedicated to brightening the holidays for Nassau County seniors.
NCCOA is collecting new, unwrapped gifts or monetary donations to help bring cheer to older adults who may be spending the season alone.
“Providing for our community’s most valued members is at the heart of what we do,” said Janice Ancrum, President & CEO of NCCOA. “Every senior deserves to feel respected, appreciated, and included, especially during the holidays. Even if they don’t have family nearby, we want them to know their community cares.”
Donations may be dropped off at either of the following locations:
- Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034
- Westside Senior Life Center, 37002 Ingham Road, Hilliard, FL 32046
Suggested items include: non-slip socks or slippers; blankets/throws; calendars/planners; bath robes; bath towels/wash cloths; dish towels; pill organizers; stationary/note cards postage stamps; batteries (all sizes); battery-operated candles and flashlights; first aid kits; umbrellas; puzzle books/playing cards (large print); adult coloring books and pencils/markers; sweets/cookies; knit hats/mittens; insulated cups; nail kits; shaving kits; full sized toiletries.
