Florida’s Minimum Wage to Increase September 30, 2025
CURRENT FLORIDA MINIMUM WAGE
Effective September 30, 2025, the minimum wage in Florida increases to $14.00 an hour, and the required cash wage for tipped employees increases to $10.98. All Florida employers are required to post the current minimum wage in their place of business where an employee can see it.

NOTICE OF STATEWIDE MINIMUM WAGE
On November 3, 2020, Florida voters approved Amendment 2, which amended Florida’s constitution to gradually increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by the year 2026. On September 30, 2025, the minimum hourly wage in Florida will be $14.00.
Florida employers are permitted to take a tip credit of up to $3.02 per hour for tipped employees. Beginning September 30, the minimum hourly cash wage rate for eligible tipped employees will be $10.98.
