In January 2021, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Conservation Land Acquisition and Management (CLAM) Program to guide the County in identifying, ranking, and assessing conservation land for potential acquisition and management. The CLAM Committee was also established a CLAM Committee featuring individuals with skills and experience related to the acquisition of conservation lands.
On Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., CLAM will hold its re-ranking session to review and update the Priority, Eligible, and Non-Eligible property groups under the CLAM Program. Committee members will evaluate scoring, discuss project area changes, and consider properties for advancement in accordance with the CLAM Manual. Members of the public and property nominators are welcome to attend and provide comments during the meeting.
Information about CLAM in including the CLAM Manual, resource maps, meeting agendas and meeting minutes can be found here.
