FloridaCommerce Announces More Than $970 Million in Broadband Funding Through the BEAD Deployment Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, FloridaCommerce announced more than $970 million in funding is now available for the Office of Broadband’s BEAD Deployment program. This program will provide funding to deploy high-speed, reliable broadband to all of the state’s remaining unserved and underserved areas.

Since 2020, FloridaCommerce has been actively facilitating programs for unserved and underserved businesses, homes, farms and community anchor institutions to receive high-speed internet. Florida small cities and rural communities have received 85% of broadband infrastructure grants. These grants ensure Floridians across the state have reliable internet access to support workforce, education and health monitoring opportunities

Eligible applicants include internet service providers with a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) provider license in Florida. Collaborative applications and partnerships between eligible entities are strongly encouraged to maximize the impact of this grant funding.

The deadline to apply is on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, using the online Broadband Application Portal. If you have not already pre-registered, please click here to receive your credentials.
