2025 Back to School Sales Tax Holiday

Consumers can purchase qualifying back to school supplies exempt from tax during the 2025 Back to School Sales Tax Holiday.

Passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis, the sales tax holiday begins Friday, August 1 and extends through Sunday, August 31. The Florida Department of Revenue created a webpage to provide information and promotional materials for consumers, businesses, and other interested parties.

The sales tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items. Additionally, the sales tax holiday does not apply to sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
