FloridaCommerce Announces $1.52 Million Available to Florida Communities Through Community Planning and Technical Assistance Grant Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, FloridaCommerce announced that $1.52 million in funding is available to eligible organizations and local governments through the Community Planning and Technical Assistance (CPTA) grant program. 

Funding is available to help communities address various planning initiatives, such as economic development, resiliency strategies and critical local planning issues. Additionally, the program promotes innovative planning solutions to protect Florida's natural resources. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 1, 2025.  

In Fiscal Year 2024-2025, FloridaCommerce awarded $1.52 million for community planning projects through the CPTA Grant Program, with 20 out of 25 projects awarded to rural communities, totaling $1.3 million. These awards build on more than $7.5 million awarded to more than 93 Florida communities since 2019.
