Florida Power & Light (FPL) Preventative Maintenance Training

Florida Power & Light has notified the Board of County Commissioners of their intent to conduct tree and vegetation maintenance in the Nassauville area in the next few weeks.  Work will be performed by FPL's qualified line-clearing contractor, Asplundh Tree Expert. 

Trees and vegetation are a leading cause of outages – especially during hurricanes and severe weather. Nassau County can help by requiring proper planting setbacks from power lines and following FPL's Right Tree, Right Place planting guidelines.
