FDOT Announces Next Recipients of Aggregate Grant Program and Intermodal Logistics Support Program
Continued investments will bring tangible storage solutions in the immediate future with project implementation or completion expected over the next 12-18 months
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— Today, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announced the award of over $19.5 million in continued investments to further strengthen Florida’s supply chain and bolster the state’s storage capacity and efficient movement of aggregate– an essential construction material for asphalt and concrete production.
These grant awards, which build off of last year’s award of $18 million, are the second round of investments awarded through Governor DeSantis’ highly successful Aggregate Grant Program, which provides up to $20 million each year to Florida’s seaport and rail partners for projects that will enhance the movement and storage of construction aggregate across the state. As a major component to the successful delivery of Florida’s road and infrastructure projects, the dependable, readily available supply of aggregate is essential to ensure projects remain on time and are not impacted by supply chain disruptions. The five recipients of these grants will expand existing aggregate materials storage capacity by more than 4.2 million tons.
“Proactive, solution-based planning is something Florida excels in thanks to Governor DeSantis, and as major construction projects continue making progress throughout the state, these strategic programs and funding opportunities will ensure we’re poised for success,” said Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E.
These grant awards serve as a multiplier of $27.3 million in private investments to the selected recipients, resulting in an economic impact of $116 million to Florida’s economy.
With continued emphasis on delivering robust, multi-faceted investments across Florida’s various modes of transportation, this year’s grant awards are focused on supporting the storage capacity of aggregate at seaports, which serve as major import and processing hubs for these materials.
The grant award recipients include:

To maximize the state’s aggregate storage capabilities through the funding opportunities available through the Aggregate Grant Program, FDOT prioritized this year’s project selections to ensure strategic regional coverage for aggregate needs statewide. Additionally, these identified projects were selected based on speed to which the project would be completed, as the identified projects are expected to have tangible results as early as in the next 12 months. These projects, coupled with the projects funded in last year’s round of grant awards, contribute to the long- and short-term solutions for the state’s storage and movement of aggregate.
In addition to these aggregate grants, the FDOT is also proud to announce the award for the Fiscal Year 2026 Intermodal Logistics Center (ILC) Infrastructure Support Program. This investment of $7.5 million will go towards the EastPort Logistics Park project located in the heart of Jacksonville. This project represents a critical investment in Florida’s long-term vision to strengthen its position as a premier hub for global trade, logistics, and export-driven growth. The ILC Infrastructure Support Program provides $15 million annually through Fiscal Year 2029 - 2030 to support transportation infrastructure projects that enhance the movement of goods through Florida’s seaports to inland logistics hubs.
