3rd Annual Health and Safety Expo – June 1st

Local health insurance agency Nelson and Associates Insurance has partnered with the YMCA at Wildlight to host the 3rd Annual Health and Safety Expo in Nassau County.

Nelson and Associates Insurance is a health insurance agency offering quality, affordable healthcare coverage along with providing education, resources and community outreach. The Expo was born from an idea that CEO Kimberly Branham-Nelson had and was fueled by her passion for her community and her background in education.

The 1st and 2nd Annual Health and Safety Expo proved to be successful, and with the help of volunteers, non-profit organizations, vendors and sponsors, last year’s expo alone was able to offer approximately 400 FREE sports physicals to Nassau County school-age children, along with providing mobile mammograms on Baptist MD Anderson's Mobile Mammography Bus.

This one-day event will be packed full of health and safety providers, resources, services, and local non-profit organizations offering valuable tools for maintaining a safe and healthier you. In addition, the opportunity to meet the great community of Nassau County will be the focus of the event.

Please join us for special appearances by the Nassau County Sheriff's Office, UF Health Jacksonville's Trauma One Ground Ambulance, the Alzheimer's Association Brain Bus, AND MORE.

There are some new additions coming to this year’s Expo. Clarity Professional Hearing Aid Center’s Michelle Christie, BC-HIS, will be providing FREE hearing screenings. Fernandina Beach High School's National Art Honor Society students will be doing FREE face paintings, and Barnabas Center will be hosting a food drive, courtesy of various community donors.

Nelson and Associates Insurance is grateful for the support of this year's expo sponsors, UF Health of Jacksonville, YMCA at Wildlight and Clarity Professional Hearing Aid Center. This Health and Safety Expo is a resource for ALL ages. Come visit the vendor booths, learn about the resources provided by local non-profits, and enjoy delicious food trucks while you are there. There is even a chance to win many amazing door prizes when you fill out the event’s passport! These include a car detailing basket, a sports basket with Jacksonville Jaguars tickets and more.

This FREE, one-day event will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the YMCA at Wildlight from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
