Introducing New Adult Education Programs at Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens

Adult Programs

Are you 18 years or older and wishing you could sign up for Zoo Camp, attend Zoocademy or any of the other programs offered to younger Zoo audiences? Well, the Jacksonville Zoo has you covered!

Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens Education department is thrilled to announce our Adult Programs offerings, which will range from short class programming to full day adventures where adults will be given the opportunity to learn about animals, nature and conservation in a variety of course offerings.

Check back regularly and check JZG's Education Facebook for updates and course offerings for our adult learners. Since this is a new territory for JZG, we'll be adding new opportunities throughout the year!

Conservation Corner

Our adult Conservation Corner courses will dive into conservation efforts that JZG are a part of; both regionally and internationally.

Join us in exploring the intricate relationships between our Zoo animals, their wild habitats, and Jacksonville Zoo and Garden's conservation efforts! Each class will explore a different corner of the Zoo, starting with the Manatee Critical Care Center and Range of the Jaguar as we launch the first two classes in this ongoing adult education series.  Each class is two hours in length, with one hour in the classroom learning from our education specialists and a second hour in the Zoo hearing from zoo care staff and a behind the scenes peek. This class is reserved for adults 18+ as we will dive into the challenges and deeply emotional context of conservation and animal advocacy. Please join us and gain an understanding of the complexities of conservation in action!

Adult Summer Camp

Do you crave learning and having fun simultaneously? Are you looking for a way to feel like a kid again, surrounded by peers? Adult summer camp in the Zoo and Gardens will be the place for you! These will be 6 hour days full of fun, exploration, behind the scenes experiences and even a cocktail hour! We will focus on having fun and of course learning through games, conservation take-homes and of course discussions around the care of our animals and our plants! Please check back soon for more information and how to register.
