The Nassau County Public Library and Nassau County Animal Services are teaming up to bring a pop-up Cat Café to the library. Grab a drink, read a book, and cuddle with friendly, adoptable felines!
The Café will be open from 9am-8pm on Monday, October 31st. Tickets are $10 for each person visiting with the cats and each ticket will give you one hour of reading and cuddling time. Reservations are required and tickets can be purchased on the Library's website at www.nassaureads.com. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase along with t-shirts, coffee mugs and tumblers. On Tuesday, November 1st, the regular weekly story time with Miss Michelle will consist of a special feline themed story. Some of the felines will be in attendance for this event as well! Tickets for the story time event are also $10 and reservations must be made in advance online through the Library's website. While we are looking for loving families for the cats, adoption is not necessary to participate in either event. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nassau County Public Library System and Nassau County Animal Care & Control. If you have any questions, please contact the Library at (904) 530-6500. Event is sponsored by the Friends of the Fernandina Beach Library, American Flooring, Petco, and the Pet Supermarket.
