AMELIA ISLAND, Florida (Dec. 2, 2020) – Northeast Florida’s Amelia Island is in the business of merrymaking once again this holiday season, hosting its first-ever Dickens Dining Week, Dec. 4-13. Seventeen of the island’s most popular restaurants will be putting a dash of Victorian flair on fixed-price lunch and dinner menus, showcasing culinary skills that even the grinchiest grinch will enjoy. Available online, the fixed-price lunch menus are just $12 per person, with dinner menus priced at either $21, $31 or $41 per person. Menus, restaurant listings, special event information, and holiday hotel packages can be found online at AmeliaIsland.com/Christmas.
“Current health concerns may have put a damper on our usual holiday celebrations this year, but with the new Dickens Dining Week, Amelia Island’s award-winning restaurants are keeping the Victorian spirit alive with some creative dishes just for the holiday season,” said Gil Langley, President and CEO of the Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau. “This will give everyone a great opportunity to get out and safely celebrate over a fabulous meal, and it’s a nice way to preview the upcoming Amelia Island Restaurant Week in January.” The fixed-price menus launch Dec. 4 and feature holiday classics, clever twists and fan favorites. The recently opened Boat House will be serving up Oliver Twist Gruel (porridge and oysters), and Brett’s Waterway Café will finish each of their menus with Figgy Pie a la Mode with English Punch. For a casual lunch before enjoying the twinkling lights downtown, Timoti’s is offering the British classic, Fish and Chips.
