![]() Today, we celebrate and acknowledge our Nassau County Chamber of Commerce, a national day dedicated to ‘support your local Chamber of Commerce’. One organization that has championed our businesses during both prosperous and challenging times is our local Chamber of Commerce, a membership-based organization of business professionals who live and work in Nassau County. During COVID-19, The Chamber has been confronting the challenging issues and talking to local, state and federal representatives to advocate for the needs of our business community. As soon as business owners needed to make decisions during this pandemic, The Chamber was the trusted resource for information and disseminating critical updates. We connected people to resources and transitioned opportunities to virtual platforms to keep partnerships and services growing. This is nothing new for our Chamber – as members we receive the benefits of advocacy, networking, credibility, partnerships, business education and promotion, however during this unprecedented and difficult time, these resources have been available to all businesses in our community. Now, more than ever before, your Chamber of Commerce is trumpeting the needs of our members and communities. Every step of the way, the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is diligently monitoring and, as needed, influencing policy so that the needs of businesses are addressed with the urgency and leadership that this pandemic warrants. I am proud to serve as the 2020 Chairman of the Board of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce. Ed Hubel, Chairman Nassau County Chamber of Commerce
