County Welcomes New Assistant County Attorney Nassau County, Florida, September 6, 2022 – The Nassau County Attorney’s Office has welcomed a new Assistant County Attorney, Abigail Jorandby. Ms. Jorandby is an accomplished, board-certified attorney with the experience needed to represent County government. She has worked extensively with city, county and local government and has represented local government commissions and boards related to public hearings, land use, planning and zoning, procurement and contracts, drafting of legislative ordinances and resolutions, and Florida’s Open Government and Public Record’s Law. Ms. Jorandby’s work experience includes Assistant State Attorney of the Ninth Judicial Circuit and County Attorney for Brevard County. She has also served as Assistant General Counsel for two municipal law firms in Palm Beach County, Florida. A Florida native, Ms. Jorandby graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and a Master of Laws in Elder Law from Stetson University. She is a member of Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the U.S. District Court for both the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the Florida Association of County Attorneys. County Attorney, Denise May, stated, “I am very happy that Abigail has accepted the position. Her knowledge and experience make her a great asset to the County as whole, as well as to the County Attorney’s Office as we strive to provide the Board of County Commissioners with outstanding legal representation.”
