10/11/22 @ 8:45 a.m. - The Halloween Festival is approaching quickly and we are doing all we can to make this year's event even better than last year's. At this time, we would like to provide an update on what you and your family can expect.
We currently have 58 booths for our trick or treat alley! We also have 6 inflatables for the kids to enjoy including a 60 ft. obstacle course, a corn maze, and a big baller wipeout challenge. We will also have a hayride and costume contests for children, adults, families and pets. The event will take place on Friday, October 28th at the Yulee Sports Complex located at 86142 Goodbread Road. The schedule of events is as follows: Gates Open: 5:00 p.m. Costume Contest (open to children, adults, families and pets): 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (no entries will be judged after 6:30 p.m. so please don't be late) Trick or Treat Alley: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Bounce houses, face painting, games, hayrides, and concessions 5:00-8:00 p.m. This event is FREE to Nassau County residents. However you are encouraged to bring some cash for the face painting booth and for concessions (food/drink) which will be sold to benefit the Yulee Basketball Association. At this time, we would also like to thank for the following businesses/individuals who have signed up to distribute candy in our trick or treat alley:
We would also like to give a special thanks to Big B's Yard Cards. They will be providing some great Halloween themed signage and yard cards for the event. Their specialty décor and attention to detail will ensure there are plenty of photo opportunities for your family and that the event is bright and festive! If you have any questions, please reach out to Parks & Recreation Director, Jay Robertson, at (904) 530-6120 or via email at jrobertson@nassaucountyfl.com. -Sabrina Robertson Public Information Officer
