Nassau County Council on Aging’s (NCCOA’s) Caregiver Support Group meetings are now held twice each month – the second and fourth Wednesday.
The next meeting is Wednesday, October 13, 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m., Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way, Fernandina Beach. In addition to our regular support group meeting, our guest speaker will be Christopher Bogosh, RN-BC, B.Th. who will discuss the topic of Communication, including Cultivating Non-Verbal Communication. Chris is a pastor, author of several books on medical ethics, and a Board-certified RN specializing in psychiatric mental health. He has more than 25 years of experience with hospice, home health and mental health.
The second meeting of the month will be held Wednesday, October 27, 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m., Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way, Fernandina Beach. It will be a regular Caregiver Support Group Meeting with no guest speaker.
The overall goal of the Caregiver Support Group is to offer support and education for caregivers. It is not suited for loved ones to attend; however all caregivers are welcome. Monthly meetings are free. For more information, please contact Emily Kunzelmann, 904-775-5472 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
