A social event at Mocama Beer Company, Fernandina Beach, FL, Saturday, Dec. 4th, 1pm – 4 pm NASSAU COUNTY, Florida – On Saturday, December 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m., Keep Nassau Beautiful will celebrate its 30th anniversary of serving Nassau County residents, visitors, and wildlife. The event, held at Mocama Beer Company, Fernandina Beach, is free and open to the public; and will feature live music, a food truck on site, an awards presentation, and raffle prizes. Raffle participants will have the opportunity to win the grand prize – a private tour for eight at White Oak Conservation, among other incredible prizes. A portion of every beverage sold at Mocama will benefit Keep Nassau Beautiful. “This is a major milestone for our organization and a lot worth celebrating has happened over the last thirty years,” said Lynda Bell, Keep Nassau Beautiful Executive Director, “we’re looking forward to acknowledging our volunteers, partners, sponsors, and the KNB community during our anniversary celebration.” Keep Nassau Beautiful is a local organization with a focus on beautification, environmentalism, and sustainability. For thirty years, it has educated and engaged Nassau County residents to protect the environment, reduce litter and waste, and improve the appearance of their communities. Some of its initiatives include Adopt-A-Road, Adopt-A-Spot, and Household Hazardous Waste Collection; annual community cleanup events such as Town of Hilliard Community Cleanup, Saint Mary’s River Cleanup, and International Coastal Cleanup; and its newest program, Planting Nassau’s Future, a program that has helped Nassau County residents’ plant more than 1,550 trees since January 2020.
