Homeless Students in Nassau Benefit from Company Culture

On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Keller Williams Realty/Amelia Island Team Members will step away from the business of Real Estate and into the community to serve. Known as “Red Day”, this is the 14th year of Keller Williams’ annual day of service.

This year they will be giving back by assisting “Families in Transition” (FIT), as they collect new, brand name tennis shoes, (which helps the kids blend in with their peers), socks and underwear as well as laundry detergent for their needs.

The FIT program was set up through the Nassau School District to assist students and families currently experiencing homelessness within our school district. They collect items to distribute to students and families, but the need continues to be significant.

The program also benefits from monetary and grocery card gifts and its success and reach relies heavily on independent donations. As a result Keller Williams Agents will also be stationed at Harris Teeter Grocery on Thursday, May 11th to collect donations of laundry soap, grocery gift cards and monetary donations for FIT.

Keller Williams is currently accepting donations of the following items at our office location:
New Van, Nike, Adidas, or other name brand, Tennis shoes. Needed in all sizes for children & teens.  Socks in various children and teen sizes. Underwear in various children and teen sizes. Laundry Soap of any kind.

A monetary donation may also be dropped in the mail, (made out to “FIT/Red Day”), or you can find a drop box at the Keller Williams Realty office at 4800 1st Coast Hwy, Suite #230, Amelia Island. Any gift is so appreciated.
