Thursday, July 28th is the perfect day to make plans to come out and save a life.  
 
Yep, you heard that right.
 
That’s the day that the Keller Williams Realty, Amelia Island location will join with Loan Depot and Landmark Title in hosting the OneBlood, Big Red Bus for a Summer Blood Drive.
 
This event will take place at The Shops @ Amelia Market/Harris Teeter Plaza from 9 am – 2 pm. (4800 1st Coast Highway, Amelia Island, Florida). There will also be fun, snacks and more.
 
With increased summer travel and activity comes the demand for more medically necessary blood transfusions. Unfortunately, it is also the lowest time for donations. So the need is greater than ever.
In fact, one in three people will need blood in their lifetime. And blood that is donated today will likely be transfused within two to three days. The turn-around is that fast and the need is constant.
OneBlood is a not-for-profit blood center responsible for providing safe and available blood to more than 250 hospital partners and their patients throughout Florida.

Generally healthy people, age16 or older (with an ID) who weigh at least 110 pounds, can donate blood. To learn more about OneBlood visit www.oneblood.org.
