A wellness checkup includes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening. Tips for a successful donation:

• Include red meat in your diet (2-3 meals).
• Drink water regularly.
• Drink 16 oz before donating.
• Eat a meal 2 hours before your donation.
• After donation: no heavy lifting or vigorous exercise the rest of the day; grab a healthy snack and drink plenty of water.
