Nassau County 4-H programs highlight 4-H youth talents in public speaking, demonstration/illustrated talks, photography, chef in training, and share the fun (talent). All of our winners from county events advance to the district competition and a possible opportunity to advance to state except for photography. In the photography portion of County Events, the winners will advance directly to the Florida 4-H State Photography competition to compete against other 4-H youth in their age division. This year we had 90 photography entries that were submitted by all the age divisions for our County Events Program. (Cloverbuds 5-7, Juniors 8-10, Intermediates 11-13, and Seniors 14-18) Categories of photos include: black and white, still life, animal, flora/fauna, architecture, etc. We are amazed by the talent our Nassau County 4-H Youth have. ![]() Over the course of 22 years, Leadership Nassau has grown to become the most exclusive leadership development program in our community. Leadership Nassau provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the various socio-economic aspects that directly affect our county and region. During the 10-month program, students engage in activities that connect them with local leaders, while simultaneously helping them form a life-long bond with fellow classmates. More than 360 members of the Nassau County community have participated in Leadership Nassau, with graduates ranging from Circuit Judges to small business owners and everything in between. The program is open to any resident of Nassau County, but recruitment targets individuals with diverse backgrounds and seeks a racial, gender, and age mix that is reflective of the local population. Standard & Poor’s is one of the world’s largest credit rating agencies known for measuring changes in a securities market. They assign letter grades to companies and government entities that indicate their degree of investment risk. In announcing its decision, S&P cited several key reasons for the increase, including:
